John Maddison

Vice President, Core Technology Solutions

John Maddison, vice president of Core Technology Solutions, is responsible for product management of all Core Technology Solutions including Antivirus, Anti-Spam, Web Threat Protection and Behavioral Monitoring Solutions. His role also includes general external marketing of the core technologies to establish Trend as thought leaders in content security; and the development and maintenance of a Global Service Delivery Platform to enable Software as a Service (SaaS) Security and the general management of the xSP Overlay Business Unit.

Prior to taking on the role as vice president of Core Technology Solutions in 2007, Maddison was the general manager of the Network Security Services (NSSG) team which focused on delivering Reputation Service’s for Email. Maddison joined Trend Micro in 2003 as director of product management for the Gateway and Client Service Products.

Prior to joining Trend Micro, Maddison was senior direct of Product Management at Vina Technologies. Maddison has also held director of Product Management positions at Lucent Technologies and Octel Communications.
