Lane M. Bess, executive vice president of Global Sales, is responsible for overall leadership of the Global Sales and maintaining Trend Micro’s strong revenue growth rate globally across all product and services business units.

Bess has been with Trend Micro since 2002. In 2007, Bess assumed the role of vice president of Global Sales while carrying the responsibilities as general manager of Trend Micro’s consumer products and services business. While general manager, Bess established Trend Micro firmly as a player in the North America consumer market.

Bess has over 24 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management with expertise in driving sales growth of computing and software solutions to Fortune 500 enterprises and small to medium businesses through channel partners, and direct sales. He was responsible for AT&T’s product launches of consumer and business Internet Services.

Before joining Trend Micro, Bess worked several years applying his experience in technology company start-ups. Bess has held sales and marketing leadership positions at NCR Corporation and AT&T Corporation.

In 1992, Bess received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Dayton and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics.
