Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy Planning

Max Cheng, corporate executive vice president for Corporate Strategy Planning, is responsible for overseeing the Data Leakage Prevention Emerging Business Unit.

Cheng has held several various executive roles in Trend Micro. In 1998, Cheng managed TrendLabs, Trend Micro’s global research and support headquarters based in Manila. Under his leadership, TrendLabs rose to become one of the industry’s leaders in antivirus research and product support services, operating around-the-clock to ensure that Trend Micro’s customers are protected. In 2000, Cheng successfully established Trend Micro's Premium Support service business through collaborative work with sales and marketing. Since 2000, he also served as Trend Micro's CIO, and headed the Global Sales Engineering, AntiVirus Research and Global Technical Support groups. Cheng stepped into the general manager of Enterprise Business Unit position in 2005, under his leadership the Enterprise Business Unit revenue grew to about US $300 million Worldwide. In 2007, Cheng moved into the role of executive vice president of Corporate Strategy Planning.

Cheng has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry and holds an MBA degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
