Oscar Chang
Chief Development Officer, Global Research & Development / Executive Vice President of Greater China Sales Oscar Chang is the chief development officer of Global Research and Development and executive vice president of Greater China Sales for Trend Micro. In his role, Chang is responsible for leading over 1000 engineers and several engineering groups to ensure Trend Micro’s continued success as a research and developer leader. Chang joined Trend Micro as a research and development (R&D) engineer in 1993. Chang relocated to Japan to manage R&D in 1996. Not only did he establish and build up Trend Micro’s R&D team in Japan, but under Chang’s guidance the team developed and shipped some of Trend Micro’s flagship products, including Virus Buster/PC-cillin, which captured more than 70 percent of Japan’s desktop antivirus market. In 2002, Chang moved to the Philippines where he created a leading-edge global response team. In 2007, Chang assumed the role of chief development officer and VP of China sales team. Before joining Trend Micro, Chang worked as a software engineer at Diamond Ware Corporation. Chang holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from the National Taiwan University. |
