The Senior Technical Writer position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality documentation efforts on large or complex projects for enterprise and consumer antivirus software products (both online and print)
  • Plan, develop, and review documentation sets from engineering specifications, hands-on use of interim software builds, research, and interviews with subject matter experts
  • Contribute to user interface designs and overall product quality through editor reviews and collaboration with other departments
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and training to other technical writers.
  • Define and deploy team standards, quality goals, and improvement activities
  • Act as project technical editor in reviews and approvals of documentation against team and company goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum BS/BA with four years professional technical writing and editing experience. Additional experience may substitute for a degree
  • Able to plan and lead a major documentation project or improvement initiative with multiple writers
  • Advanced knowledge of writing techniques and tools such as FrameMaker, RoboHELP, and HTML editors
  • Advanced knowledge of networking, security, messaging, and multiple operating system environments
  • Excellent cross-department communication skills with impeccable written English
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and work successfully in an evolving and culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to locate in Nanjing, China for a minimum 2-year period
  • Conversational Mandarin Chinese a plus
