Integrated Security Infrastructure
The integrated security infrastructure of Trend Micro-Cisco NAC increases network availability, resilience, and productivity. Trend Micro™ OfficeScan™ Client/Server Edition, Cisco policy control software, and NAC-enabled network devices comprise the seamlessly integrated solution.
In its initial phase, NAC enables Cisco access and midrange routers to enforce access privileges when an endpoint client attempts to connect to a network. The network admission decision can be based on information about the endpoint device such as its current antivirus state and operating system patch level. NAC allows noncompliant devices to be denied access, placed in a quarantined area, or given restricted access to computing resources
Dramatically Improved Network Security
NAC dramatically improves network security by allowing network access to endpoint clients such as PCs, PDAs, and servers only after they are verified to be fully compliant with established security policy. NAC enables the network to identify, prevent, and adapt to threats by automatically enforcing corporate security policies on all NAC-enabled devices.
The security solution also helps lower IT costs by leveraging investments in both network infrastructure and software, easing administrative burden, and ensuring business continuity.
Synergy Across Security and Network Domains
