Cascadia Labs tested 6 vendors and found Trend Micro’s Web reputation technology to be the clear winner in Web Security and the overall URL blocking effectiveness. The Web Reputation database tested is used by all of our Web gateway, and endpoint solutions.

West Coast Labs determined that Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security beat out 8 other vendors, proving the anti-spam effectiveness of the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network. The False Positive detection rates for each solution were also calculated, and were negligible across each of the solutions, except Microsoft, which recorded a significant False Positive rate of 0.71%.
West Coast Labs used their live corporate enterprise spam feed to provide a snapshot of genuine spam emails so that each solution received the same emails.
